As a source of inspiration, a fertile ground for creativity and a provider of treasures, nature has been at the heart of the Chaumet identity since its founding over 240 years ago. Having benefitted from its rich bounty, the Maison is proud to return the favour by investing in nature conservation and continually deepening its commitment to this cause. Grounded in the present and simultaneously mindful of the challenges of tomorrow, it has significantly increased its initiatives over the years, enshrining its social and environmental responsibility policy in the LIFE 360 programme spearheaded by the LVMH group.

These initiatives include a partnership with the Reforest’Action organisation, the transport of boutique decor by ship, and the management of the Maison’s carbon footprint, notably through the installation of smart meters and low-energy light bulbs in all boutiques. Furthermore, Chaumet is committed to a responsible sourcing and traceability approach for its raw materials, while pursuing its efforts to reduce the carbon impact of its packaging and actively incorporate environmental management enactment in its sites through ISO 14001 certification.
Ambitious and assured, these multiple actions demonstrate the extent to which meaningful Chaumet jewellery is much more than just jewellery, the extent to which humans and nature are at the heart of all its projects and creations. Latest initiative: guaranteeing the traceability of gold across all its collections, starting in 2025 with a new Bee de Chaumet pendant.

The Maison, already a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and compliant with the Kimberley Process, is once again distinguishing itself through its commitments and its enhanced drive to further exert a positive influence on the jewellery industry. As part of its responsible sourcing strategy, in 2025, it joined the Swiss Better Gold Association (SBGA), an organisation that supports artisanal mines in their sustainable development. At the same time, it is offering a new Bee de Chaumet pendant in 100% traceable gold from responsible sources. Embellished with a bee motif, the collection’s emblem, this pendant manifests the Maison’s duty to set an example: without claiming to have revolutionised the mining sector, it is nonetheless playing its part in making it more ethical. Across the entire value chain, from the mine to the final creation of the jewellery, each step of the gold sourcing process is 100% verified, in accordance with strict specifications. Chaumet is therefore able to ensure that every gramme of gold making up the pendant comes from sources carefully selected in collaboration with trusted partners. And so all the components, including the bee pendant, the chain, clasp and rings, are made from 100% traceable gold derived from sustainable sources. Starting with this first significant step, the Maison’s goal for the future is clear: to progressively roll out this principle of sourcing and manufacturing across all its jewellery and High Jewellery collections.
