Dubai Fashion Week Day Four: When Runways Turn into Visual Poetry

Sep 7, 2025

Every day at Dubai Fashion Week carries its own charm, but day four felt like a vivid canvas—layered with colors, textures, and stories that seamlessly bridged heritage and innovation, global flair and local spirit. It was more than a series of shows; it was a journey through the visions of designers, each narrating a different story in their own language of style.

The day opened with Mrs. Keepa, who unveiled her collection The Getaway in the opulent setting of Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria. Infused with surrealist nature-inspired details—mushroom sketches and intricate botanical motifs—the collection blended flowing silhouettes with artistic touches. What struck me most was Mariam Yeya’s ability to merge strength with softness, as if portraying the modern woman who travels more with her imagination than with her footsteps.

Dima Ayad followed with a presentation at S’CONE restaurant, where femininity took center stage. Fluid fabrics and graceful pleats danced in motion, echoing her philosophy of celebrating women’s beauty. The designs felt like a sincere promise: that every woman deserves her moment to shine, unapologetically.

The Indonesian presence added a distinctive flavor to the day. Benang Jarum impressed with Opulent Bloom, a collection that redefined flowers—not just as symbols of delicacy, but as emblems of power.

In contrast, Nada Puspita unveiled Lace Poem, a lyrical ode to color, vibrating with yellow, blue, and burgundy, reminding us that true elegance lies in balancing gentleness with strength.

Among the most striking debuts was Jozeph Diarbakrli, whose show evoked the glamour of a classic Hollywood film. Shimmering fabrics and bold suits celebrated the image of a woman who is both confident and commanding.

Meanwhile, XD Xenia Design presented a completely different experience with XD Couture, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. Each piece became an architectural sculpture, fusing fragility and force into wearable poetry.

The evening closed with Lama Jouni, whose collection masterfully married practicality with understated luxury. Monochrome palettes exuded serene sophistication, while the clean lines conveyed a soft power—perfect for the woman seeking equilibrium between allure and ease.

But the day extended beyond the runways. The Outsiders Perspective dinner brought together a dynamic circle of fashion and business leaders, creating a space for dialogue and connection. It was an evening that highlighted the human and creative heart of the industry.

What makes Dubai Fashion Week remarkable, in my eyes, is this dazzling diversity: shows that weave visual narratives, encounters that foster cultural exchange, and moments that confirm Dubai’s rise as a global stage shaping the future of fashion in its own distinct way.
