Loewe SS26: A New Chapter of Color, Craft, and Confidence

Loewe's Spring/Summer 2026 show felt like a rebirth bold, elevated, and undeniably fresh. With a new creative duo at the helm, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the collection brought a sharp new energy while honoring the craftsmanship and identity that Loewe is known for. It was one of those rare shows where everything felt right tailoring, color, construction, emotion.

From the opening look, the tailoring spoke volumes. Jackets were cut with architectural precision, dresses flowed with effortless shape, and every leather piece was a testament to Loewe's heritage.
A standout for me was a green leather jacket structured yet flattering, clean yet bold. It was the kind of piece that commands attention without shouting.

What really stood out in this collection was the color contrast a true celebration of vibrancy. Deep, saturated blues clashed beautifully with bright orange shoes. Beige layering was punctuated with deep reds and leafy greens. The styling was brave and controlled, with pieces playing off one another like brushstrokes in a modern painting. You could feel the joy in the palette nothing felt forced, just alive.

Leather remained central to the collection, but it was treated with a fresh approach soft in places, structured in others, mixed with prints and lightweight fabrics to create a sense of movement and lightness. The mix of materials never felt heavy, even when bold color was involved. That balance between strong statement and everyday wearability is what made this show so special.

The dresses were youthful, fresh, and incredibly flattering. Some were printed, some sleek and minimal with subtle leather accents but all walked beautifully. The skirts moved in a way that made them feel alive. It wasn't just runway drama it was wearability in motion. That’s something we don't always get enough of in high fashion.

And let's talk accessories: the bags and shoes were in full conversation with the looks color blocked, playful, and modern. Nothing felt like an afterthought. It all came together with intention, right down to the smallest detail.

By the end of the show, the audience erupted into applause. The energy in the room said everything: this wasn't just a good collection, it was a pivotal one. You could feel the excitement around Loewe's new direction. There was elevation in every stitch, but the spirit of Loewe the craftsmanship, the soul remained intact.

What I loved most was that the collection didn't try to erase the past. It built on it. You could sense the designers respect for what came before, while clearly moving the house into a more modern, wearable, and expressive future. There was a boldness in this show, but also restraint. It's a delicate line to walk, and they walked it beautifully.

Loewe SS26 is exactly what fashion should be right now: wearable, bold, joyful, and intentional. A true standout of the season, and a thrilling new beginning for the house.
