The new capsule collection designed for Marina Rinaldi by the Lebanese couturier is a dialogue between the 1920s and 1960s reimagined through modern femininity.
The new capsule collection by Lebanese couturier Georges Chakra for Marina Rinaldi captures a dialogue between two transformative eras. It bridges the refined drapery of the 1920s with the bold, architectural lines of the 1960s to create a modern interpretation of timeless femininity.

The collection represents the meeting point of haute couture and sophisticated prêt-à-porter. It embodies Chakra’s signature style of elegance, innovation, and masterful craftsmanship. Recognized as one of the leading couture voices from the Middle East, Chakra brings his distinctive sense of structure and sensuality to a collaboration that celebrates women’s strength and grace.

Soft draping and intricate embroidery from the 1920s are reimagined alongside the clean silhouettes and graphic energy that defined the 1960s. In both eras, women reshaped their roles in society and used fashion as a reflection of independence and progress. The collection celebrates femininity in all its forms, balancing romanticism and modernity through carefully studied volumes and exquisite detailing.

Fabrics such as cady and pure silk georgette follow the body with ease, serving as a backdrop for the collection’s standout feature: the embroidery. Ramage patterns crafted from stones and glass beads evoke the refined glamour of the 1920s, while embroidered bows reference the gentle geometry of the 1960s.

A standout piece is an evening suit in champagne, black, lilac, and pink. The jacket, embroidered with geometric motifs, reflects the architectural precision of Art Deco interpreted with a modern sensibility. Gowns with sheer sleeves add lightness and movement, while sculpted necklines and intertwined fabric details enhance the silhouette with quiet sophistication.

Each piece is a bridge between memory and modern style. Embroidery becomes more than an embellishment, it is transformed into a living expression of craftsmanship that connects the past to the present.
