Her artistic practice explores linguistic and mythological reflections through spontaneous, process driven approaches, employing raw footage, performance art, and watercolor. In 2012, Al-Ghunaim co-directed "Kethra", the first Kuwaiti contribution to the Venice Architecture Biennale.
