Tory Burch Redefines American Elegance for Spring/Summer 2026

Sep 22, 2025

There is no doubt that Tory Burch's Spring/Summer 2026 show in New York was one of those presentations that makes you reconsider the very meaning of everyday elegance. The collection was not only visually beautiful, but it also felt like a dialogue between romance and spontaneity on one hand, and precision and craftsmanship on the other.

What struck me most was Burch's ability to reframe American sportswear with a refined feminine touch, from polo shirts and raincoats to low waist dresses inspired by the 1920s. Personally, I loved the idea of "carefully crafted imperfections", hems that appeared frayed but were in fact made to last, and shimmering polo sweaters that looked as though they had undergone an artistic restoration. This is where the true charm of the collection lies, the harmony between the effortless and the meticulously made.

The fabrics themselves seemed to tell a story of both past and future, from luxurious wool and distressed silk to vintage leather that gave the bags and shoes a distinctive character. The return of the Lee Radziwill bag in its refreshed design was a touching moment, while the Romy bag stole the spotlight with its timeless beauty.

In the footwear section, I couldn't help but pause at the pearl, and pastel beaded sandals, their intricate details transported me back to the 1950s, but with a contemporary twist. The jewelry felt like a natural extension of this spirit, earrings and necklaces that danced with the light, completing the story of each look.

The show itself, set in the heart of New York, was part of the experience. The atmospheric soundscape curated by Wladimir Schall added a dramatic layer to the collection, allowing each piece to carry its own rhythm.

In short, Tory Burch delivered a collection that feels both familiar and new, simple yet luxurious, practical but dreamlike. To me, this was more than fashion, it was a philosophy that finds beauty in contradictions, transforming personal memories into a timeless language.
