Valentino Spring/Summer 2026 Collection

Oct 8, 2025

Valentino presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection during Paris Fashion Week in a show that carried a philosophical and poetic spirit. The collection drew inspiration from the Italian writer and thinker Pier Paolo Pasolini, particularly from the symbolism of "the fireflies," which in his view represented light’s resistance against the darkness of the world, a metaphor for beauty's passion for life despite the surrounding harshness.

Creative Director Alessandro Michele revived this profound concept, transforming it into a visual dialogue between light and shadow, fragility and strength, transient beauty and enduring elegance. The result was a collection that unfolded like a poem woven from threads of light, rich in detail and celebrating individuality, reaffirming that fashion can serve as a tool for reflection, not merely for display.

The designs featured fluid, translucent fabrics that captured light with poetic sensitivity, rendered in soft tones such as ivory white, sandy beige, and earthy neutrals, delicately contrasted with touches of black to symbolize mystery and balance. The silhouettes moved between refined simplicity and majestic architectural structure, embodying the duality of delicacy and power that defines Valentino's contemporary identity.

Through this collection, the House reinterpreted Pasolini’s idea of "the disappearance of the fireflies" to suggest that light has not vanished, it has merely retreated into the corners, waiting for those who can perceive beauty in life’s quiet details. For Valentino, fashion is not a display of luxury but a search for glimmers of light in an age overshadowed by noise.

In the finale, the garments illuminated the runway with a soft, dreamlike glow, reaffirming that true elegance lies in contemplative simplicity, in the ability to transform faint light into an everlasting presence that lingers in memory.
