Fashion this season was no different, with Fall 2025 capturing the global mood in looks infused with nostalgia, a dose of daring, and a touch of dreaminess.
From the very first moments of the shows, it was clear that layering had made a powerful comeback, but with a new spirit. No longer just a way to stay warm, layers became a canvas for expressing multiple identities within a single look. At Dior, silky skirts flowed gracefully over classic trousers.
Meanwhile, Dries Van Noten presented long coats crafted from unique fabrics, paired with impeccably knitted sweaters, a visual tableau balancing protection and boldness. It was as if designers wanted to say, safety in autumn doesn't mean concealment, but the freedom to reveal many sides of oneself in a single ensemble.
Colors spoke their own language. Moving away from the expected blacks and grays, the palette was dominated by honey browns, olive greens, and deep burgundy tones. Yet these weren't alone. Pops of scarlet red at Valentino and burnt orange at Etro injected vibrant energy, reminding us that autumn is far from a dormant season, it's one rich with contrasts.
I was especially struck by these color contrasts, which felt like they mirrored the map of our daily emotions, somewhere between calm and intensity, reassurance and surprise.
Fabrics, too, left a distinct mark. At Gucci, velvet returned to the spotlight in designs that fused luxury with modernity.
Stella McCartney showcased sustainable wool with innovative 3D weaves, proving that sustainability can be as elegant as it is conscious. Even practical fabrics like nylon were elevated in Prada's collections, refined into luxurious pieces fit for both the runway and the streets.
Practicality, now a necessity of modern life was not forgotten. Oversized bags at Michael Kors reminded us that today's woman demands more space for her everyday life. Comfortable footwear also took center stage
from military style boots to luxe sneakers at Miu Miu, embodying the concept of functional elegance and showing that beauty and comfort need not be separated.
What truly defines Fall 2025 is its ability to balance dream and reality. It is a season that redefines our relationship with fashion, not as a mere imitation of runway trends, but as a means of self expression. It teaches us to slow down, wrap ourselves in layers, embrace warm colors, and choose fabrics that tell stories of nostalgia and renewal.

Her artistic practice explores linguistic and mythological reflections through spontaneous, process driven approaches, employing raw footage, performance art, and watercolor. In 2012, Al-Ghunaim co-directed "Kethra", the first Kuwaiti contribution to the Venice Architecture Biennale. This device enables firefighters to perform their duties more efficiently, helping save lives, protect property, and open doors within approximately 15 seconds through a simple manual operation.
The device is exclusively used by government entities, including the Ministry of Interior, the Fire Department, the National Guard, and oil companies, ensuring rapid access to individuals trapped during accidents or fires, thereby saving lives and minimizing material damage. Bumjadad began developing the device in 2005 after witnessing the challenges firefighters faced in opening locked doors during rescue operations, which often caused property damage. The device significantly improves response times, opening doors in about 20 seconds.
In recognition of his invention, Bumjadad received a silver medal at the Geneva International Invention Exhibition in the field of safety and security. Sara Al-kattan is a young Kuwaiti rhythmic gymnast who has distinguished herself in regional and international competitions, achieving remarkable results representing Kuwait. Sara began her gymnastics journey at an early age, joining Salto Club at the age of four. Since then, she has competed in over 15 regional tournaments, consistently achieving outstanding results.
Sara is recognized as one of the promising young talents expected to have a bright future in artistic gymnastics. She won her first gold medal in the floor exercise at the West Asia Gymnastics Championship in May 2025.
